CAN55 – Capsquares, pair, 2-1/2″ trunions, Field – Iron
These will fit right on the full scale Carronade, and with machining/grinding will be good on the 2/3 Six Pounder & Mountain Howitzer.
Can be ground / machined for 2-1/2″ to 3″ I.D. {Inventory: 8+ sets — February 2025}
Capsquares cast at Hern give you a great head start in finishing our your carriage. ‘Field’ squares are straight and universal left to right side; (Naval caps are off set at an angle to the trunion, and are unique left & right.) All sizes are available in Iron or Bronze.
Capsquares are cast at a nominal inside diameter, but there is enough metal in place to custom fit to your exact trunion diameter; size ranges per each should be listed.
